Ana Gonzales is an Peruvian-American contemporary painter, graphic designer and teacher. She paints primarily in acrylics and oils. Like a lot of artists, she’s always been creating in one form or another since childhood.
Art has always been her passion but she pursued another career path growing up. While art remained her first love, Ana obtained her first Bachelor degree in Education. A few years later she graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design in 2002. There is a long advertising, media, and editorial design exciting period in her career life winning many American Advertising Awards.
She attended workshops with Dan Thompson and Andrew Conklin at the New York Academy of Art in 2019, online classes with Melisa Calabria and Francisco Soriano to continue learning about old masters painting techniques. Ana believes creating and learning is a way of life and a source for continuous creativity and inspiration.
Ana currently lives and works out of her studio in Palm Beach, Florida. Now full-time on her own after painting over 10,000 portraits for a pet supplies company and other clients’ commissions, she aims to beautifully capture every pet’s unique personality and charm.
